Price of gas getting to you?
If the price of gas at the pump is getting to you, there’s good news for
you. But you may have to wait a few years. Germany is ahead of us. All
German vehicle manufacturers are developing hybrid engines or
battery-electric vehicles. Mercedes is also forging ahead with fuel cell
technology and intends to mass produce hydrogen cars as early as 2014. In
the meantime gas engines should become more efficient. They are working on
downsize engines while at the same time they will become more fuel
efficient.
Lightweight construction using new materials will help make them more
efficient.
BMW is planning to mass produce their first electric car by 2013. Instead of
steel they will use lightweight carbon fibre.
A German company is working on technology that will make driving safer. In
an emergency the system can slow the car down. It can even send out an
emergency call.
High speed trains will be made out of this lighter but just as efficient
metal so they get better mileage. Lighter materials is our airplanes will
make them more efficient also.
Vegetable oil may replace regular oils. Coming soon may be solar energy
plans.

In the meantime you’ll be glad to know that Mobile-Exxon an BP had record
profits. Could the much discussed pipeline from Alaska to Texas help. How
could it hurt? We have pipelines already all over put country side.

Chevrolet. The price $40,000, So no doubt many will wait till the price
comes down.
