WHEW! What a ride we have been on. Robert Griffin III, Coach Art Briles,
and all the Baylor football players get a big thanks from all of us.
Don’t forget Kim Mulkey and the Lady Bears are taking us to new heights
too. No. one in the country. All this success must have rubbed off on Coach
Scott Drew and inspired the men’s basketball team to new heights too. One of
only four undefeated teams across the country.
Then let’s don’t forget all our other teams. Our high school teams have
been playing really great.

Ted Teague, Waco Dodge, and I were taking about Robert Griffin III and his
choice to go pro.
We decided that was best for him. Maybe not for us Baylor fans.
But let’s say he played another year. Maybe it would be a good year, maybe
not. Then what would happen if he got injured. His stock would fall fast.
Right now he is on top of that pinnacle.
Then we were guessing how much he will make in the next five years. We
guessed about $25 million. This of course made it hard to turn down.
After the win he had a personal moment on the field at Alamo Bowl. He had
decided right then this would be his last game playing with these guys at
Baylor.
Maybe this is why he was late coming to the press conference after the
game.
I was on the front row. Then I got his autograph on the way out.
Now I wonder how much this is worth? On a check it could be millions. I
haven’t cashed in the one yet I got from Jerry Jones.
If you want to have some fun get on my face book and make a guess at what
you would give for my autographed press box sticker.
All in all we have been flying high here in Waco. Let’s keep it up. It
feels good. Even bad weather is not to go to stop us.
Hope you went to Ferrell Saturday for the basketball game then at 7 p, m.,
to honor the football team for a record year. Keep that souvenir poster.
It could become valuable.
