WACO – CityStreak will be hosting a race in Waco on September 10th near Baylor University.

CityStreak creates “amazing-race” style adventures that give teams the opportunity to compete for $300- $1000 by “Streaking” through the city. At the start of the race, Streakers receive clues and tasks that lead the teams around the city. The first team to finish the Streak wins the grand prize.

A Streak is a short urban adventure, similar to a scavenger hunt, in which people are sent to different locations around a specific neighborhood to complete mental and physical challenges. Streaks happen monthly, usually on weekend afternoons, and last one to two hours.

“We started the company because we are passionate about getting people together and making memories,” said Carter Hopkins, co-founder of CityStreak. “The best part about our job is getting to watch people have a blast doing something that we have created.”

Hopkins and co-founder Daniel Goldstein are both Baylor University Alumni and established the concept of CityStreak in March 2011. The first race was held on May 7 in Nashville.

“CityStreak has started off well and we’re pleased to see it expand to different cities,” said Hopkins. “We would love to be in 15 cities by the end of the year.”
