WACO, Texas – Waco High School choir and theater students will perform an Andrew Lloyd
Webber musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, at the school’s Performing Arts
Center, January 19-21.
Tickets are still available for two performances on Saturday, Jan. 20: a matinee at 2 p.m. and an
evening performance at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is based on the “coat of many colors” story of
Joseph, son of Jacob, from the Bible book of Genesis. The musical involves a large cast consisting
of approximately 60 students either on stage, behind the scenes or in the orchestra pit.
The show has a family-friendly storyline with catchy music, animated dancing, and little dialogue.
Matthew Reynolds, a junior at Waco High, will play the part of Joseph. The musical is under the
direction of Waco High Choir Director Michelle Espinosa. This is the first musical production at
Waco High School in 20 years.
