Step Up For Hope

The Waco High School athletic training program is participating in a unique fundraising event this weekend.  The event is called Step Up For Hope and all the proceeds go to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.  St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for their child’s cancer treatments that are not covered by insurance.

Trainers, student trainers and others interested in the cause will be climbing the bleachers at the WISD Stadium the equivalent height of the Empire State Building (1,2500 ft).  Participants have been obtaining monetary pledges as they look forward to their successful completion of the climb.

The event is scheduled for Saturday May 21 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
