Royal Ale Festival Returns

The Royal Ale Festival will be held at Scarborough Renaissance Festival on both Saturday and Sunday (April 16 and 17) from 1 PM to 3 PM at the Crown Pavilion located in the Crown Meadow area of the Festival. Tasting guests will be able to taste 7 different ales and beers. A free private club membership is required to purchase alcohol at Scarborough. There will be musical entertainment throughout the tasting.

“This will be the 17th year for the Royal Ale Festival. It is a favorite among the Festival’s guests,” says Coy Sevier, the General Manager of Scarborough Renaissance Festival. “The Royal Ale Festival is one of many special events that we conduct each weekend. Each event adds something extra to the extraordinary experience of the Festival” continued Mr. Sevier.

2011 is Scarborough’s 31st season. The Festival is open on Saturdays, Sundays in April and May, and Memorial Day Monday, rain or shine, from 10 AM to 7 PM. Located near Waxahachie, Scarborough is just 30 minutes south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex off of I-35E at exit 399A. From Austin or Waco, follow I-35E north to Exit 399.

Admission at is $22 for adults and $8 for children, ages 5-12 (tax included) when purchased online at SRFestival.com. Admission at the gate is $24 for adults and $9 for children. Children age 4 and under are admitted free. Admission includes free parking (courtesy of Allen Samuels Autoplex-Ennis), continuous entertainment and craft demonstrations. Tickets are available online at SRFestival.com where you can print your own tickets, or at the castle gates on Festival days.
