Robinson Pastor’s want church column
The Robinson Ministerial Alliance has about 21 churches on their list. They meet on the second Wednesday of each month at the Rocket Café.
Steve “Cowboy” Gross of the West Robinson Baptist Church on Moonlight Drive is urging the churches to start a church corner in the Suburban Courier each week. In the middle of the ad, a minister would have a chance to write a devotional.
The one column block ads would have room for church name, address and other information. When a church has a special event like a revival they would take an extra space. The 1 col. X 1 inch boxes would be $10 a week. Rev. Gross is ready to start it off.
He invited Publisher Bill Foster to the December meeting to explain the details and hand out contracts with the necessary information on it.
Meanwhile Toni Kracke, St John United Church of Christ, was secretary of the alliance. She has left the church so David Hunter of Robinson Church of Christ, has taken over these duties. Discussion was about who would head up the alliance when the time comes.
Talk Wednesday was how they could pay tribute to Robinson school teachers either with a gift bag or a dinner.
