National Night Out 2011 “Today” !
August 2, 2011
6:30 to 8:30 pm
Citizens and neighborhoods of Waco! Join the Waco Police Department and your neighbors on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, for the annual national night out celebration.
National Night Out is designed to allow neighbors to join together and present a unified force in the fight against crime in their community.
You can make a difference: on August 2nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, we are asking citizens to join their neighbors by hosting or attending block parties, group parties or neighborhood association parties in their neighborhoods or at local parks to show our committment to preventing crime in our neighborhoods.
Parties can include games, decorations, food, drink and more or simply time spent visiting with your neighbors.
Prior to your party we invite you to view a program about National Night Out, starting a neighborhood watch group, home security measures and business security tips from 5 to 6 p.m., on the Waco City Cable Channel (WCCC-TV).
Tuesday, August 2
“National Night Out”, 6 to 9 p.m. Alta Vista, Landon Branch, Kendrick, Carver, Brook Oaks, Brookview and many other Neighborhoods will be having picnics and get togethers to make a unified stand against crime in their community.
Remember: turn your outside lights on to light the night against crime!
