The FORMER Lake Country Club is now Under New Management!

Effective 2/1/12 we became “Lake Waco Golf Club”

After the former Lake Country Club was foreclosed last December, a group of concerned club members worked with the new property owner to insure that the day to day management and operation of the facility continued and improved in quality. Since taking over on February 1, 2012, the new Management Group, Larry Salter – PGA Professional, Staff and Club Members have been busy seeing that the course and facilities are being brought back to life. The members are excited and the public golfers are happy to see some steady improvement in the playing conditions.

Nestled among the Oak Trees, on the north side of Lake Waco, a full 18 Hole Regulation Golf Course and the only 18 Hole Par 3 Golf Course between Dallas and Austin sits on one of the prettiest golf venues in Central Texas. Whether a club member or a public patron, beginning or experienced golfers can enjoy a quick round on the Executive Par 3 Course or move up to the more challenging 18 Hole Regulation Course.

Club Members can fish the many lakes located on our facility and will be able to enjoy many hours of family fun while they lounge around our large pool this summer (Opens Memorial Day Weekend). Our restaurant is open to the public and serves outstanding food and beverages with a fully stocked bar.

Change does not happen overnight but our staff has been trimming trees, widening fairways and lowering the overall height of rough. They are also in the process of getting our normal maintenance schedules back on track. Plans have been made to start our spring fertilization of the course and greens in the next few days, weather permitting.
