Lacy Lakeview interviewing for city manager–named the Waco Citizen as the official newspaper.

The city of Lacy Lakeview went into executive session Tuesday night to talk about hiring a full time city manager. Interum manager Keith Bond has put in for the job. Keith told the Citizen if he got the job it would save the city money. Some of his deputies would help with some of the duties he is doing now.

The council approved the selection of The Waco Citizen as their official newspaper. City secretary Michelle Hicks did some investigating and found the Citizen could do the job while saving the city money.

The coucill voted to turn down a raise Atmos Energy wanted. Also they agreed to continue asking the citizens to add one dollar to their water bill for the fire department. If a customer doesn’t want to do this there is a place on the water bill to check.
