Kim Mulkey will be guest of honor at a fund raiser for the Advocacy Center
for Crime Victims and Children, Tuesday, May 22nd, 6 p. m. Waco Convention
Center
Gov. Bill Daniels family was well represented at the ribbon cutting and
rededication for the rebuilt Daniel Historic Village. BU President Ken Starr
told about when Gov. Bill came to town with only $7 in his pocket. Price
Daniel Jr. advertised used books in our newspapers when he was attending
Baylor. They are all from Liberty., Texas. The Village will open each day
and close at 4 p. m. Enter through the Mayborn Museum. Cost $6 adults, $5
seniors and $4 for children. Hours vary each day.
Students from the Rapoport Academy were special guests at the rededication
ceremony May 11. Trey Crumpton is village manager. Calvin Smith was the
director when the buildings were moved to Waco from Liberty, Texas, October
1986.
