“Downtown Waco is taking on new life!”
Downtown Waco is taking on new life. Thursday, October 6, Darlene Cates, right, was named president. Julie Burleson, left, was named vice president of the new Downtown Neighborhood Association or DNA for short. Darlene told us she will operate out of her home. Several interested persons, including mayor Jim Bush, gathered at the park at 8th and Austin, to make the announcement. Free prizes were given out and new memberships were accepted.
