Creative Stick Art at Cameron Park
Kids were really enjoying them. Internationally known sculptor Patrick
Dougherty was up to in Cameron Park with the help of Baylor and MCC
students as well as community volunteers. They bend saplings into “sculptures” and
have gotten this far in only a week. Lots more to come. Some profs were
helping oversee this through October and getting their students some
firsthand instruction from an artist who also has done this kind of thing
in 200-plus spots around the world – most of them much bigger cities than
Waco.
