Central Texas Family Issues Summit – Back to the Basics: Promoting Healthier Families
The Texas AgriLife Extension Service is conducting their annual Central Texas Family Issues Summit on Friday, February 10, at the McLennan Community College Emergency Services Education Center located at 7601 Steinbeck Bend Road in Waco. The theme of the conference is “Back to the Basics: Promoting Healthier Families.” Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the conference will be from 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Registration before February 1 is $25 and registration at the door is $30. Registration will include lunch. Clock hour certificates will be presented at the conclusion of the day, and if desired, CEU’s will be available through McLennan Community College. Conference topics include Promoting Healthier Families Through the Touch Points Approach, Back to the Basics – Resilient Families, Back to the Basics for Relieving Financial Stress, Back to the Basics with Safety – Protecting Children from Hyperthermia, Bringing Communication Back to the Family, Back to the Dinner Table, and Bring Humor Back to the Family.
