Benefit 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament
Waco, TX, September 8, 2012

Visiting Angels is hosting a benefit 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in an effort to raise funds in support of the End of Alzheimer’s. The tournament will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Woodway. Divisions will be available for men and women ages 12 years and older; the fee is $40 per team. Each team is guaranteed three scheduled games; first place teams in each division will be awarded prizes. Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 5pm. Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States today. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s largest voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research of this disease; funds raised at this tournament will go directly toward supporting their efforts.
Visiting Angels is a living assistance services organization. Our caregivers provide a variety of services to include: hygiene assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, transportation, errands, medication reminders, incontinence care, bathing, grooming and dressing, light exercise, shopping, companionship, etc. Caregivers are available to clients on an hourly basis, for extended stays, and even 24-hour (live-in) service wherever they reside. Some families choose to use our services in addition to, or as an alternative to, living arrangements at independent living facilities, assisted living facilities, or skilled nursing facilities
Visiting Angels’ caregivers have varying levels of experience; all have passed extensive background checks, are bonded, and undergo basic and client-specific training. We match caregivers who have the appropriate skills to best fulfill the client’s individual needs. Best of all, each client always has the opportunity to meet with our staff to choose the caregiver after a personal interview.
