WACO OVER-POPULATED WITH PETS
The Waco Human Society says they have made progress but Waco is still overpopulated with dogs and cats. Still too many have to be put away, says Cricket, who is manager.

These newspapers will do what we can to help solve this problem. The dogs and cats are free. They just require you to pay for the adoption fee which runs $76.00,
If you are a cat lover you should have been at the All Breed Cat Show at the Fairgrounds. There were 225 pedigreed cats competed for ribbons and rosettes awarded by 6 judges from the Cat Fanciers' Association.

One small kitty wanted to get out and play while this reporter was getting the story.

The Waco Human Society was able to get a few adopted which they had brought along. Did you know there is jewelry for the felines? Some items were on sale Saturday, July 26.

The Citizen will be giving a kitten free through a drawing promoting new and renewal subscription sales. Another prize is a room night in a Jacuzzi Suite at the new Hampton Inn & Suites at the new Central Texas Market Center.

See our newspaper for more details. Or use the subscription blank in this web site, We can take your credit card now online. The Citizen is $24 in county and $34 outside. The Suburban Courier is only 18 a year in county and $28 outside.
